They love their work. With loving commitment they create what helps us sliding up and down the water. I’m sure everyone remembers who shaped their first or favorite surf board. I’d like to give something back and dedicate this shot to Uwe Kluba, a nice german fellow who lives, loves and shapes surfboards in southern Portugal. Every day is Shaper’s Day!
They’re at least as important as good waves, favorable wind and a decent surfboard under your feet, your surf buddies. They laugh, cry, drink with you and they celebrate with you after the ride of your life. No matter where you go you’ll always remember who joined you on your journeys. This shot features Björn Hartweger and Markus Keller who joined me on my journey in Portugal.
I’ve always appreciated watching people skateboarding. Taking photos of them I do love too, especially of guys with smooth style and sheer endless creativity in their riding. Alessandro Magnani is for sure one of them. Go skateboarding!
As a photographer there’s nothing much better than exploring new places and see new cultures and their faces. The photo on this shirt I chose since it reminds of one of the most beautiful coasts I’ve ever seen despite what’s sadly happening in the capital. El Salvador coast line offers waves and places of pure beauty while not even few car hours away people daily suffer violence and criminality in the capital.
Sri Lanka for sure is a beautiful place to be. Rich in cultural treasures, nice people and beautiful landscapes. The little island next to India also offers heaps of all-time point breaks. And the best way to explore and chase those waves is hands down in one of those funny little vehicles called Tuktuk.
